Here you see all our pumpkins, ready for the weigh-off during the Pumpkin market in Kasterlee on October 20th. The 3 winning pumpkins of the European weigh-off in Ludwigsburg will also be there. We’re counting down for the Pumpkin Market to begin!

GPC Belgium weigh-off 2019
The GPC Belgium weigh-off of 2019 was organized by Pompoenengenootschap Kasterlee.
It was Mario Vangeel who grow a pumpkin of 1016,5kg, followed by Luc Vanheuckelom (982kg) and Herman Boonen (906kg).
Jef Leysen won the 1st price with his Squash of 592kg. 2nd and 3rd place were for Hans Van Bael (383kg) and Guido Donckers (327kg).
2nd patch tour and BBQ 2019
On Saturday August 31st 2019 we took our bike for the 2nd patch tour. And after measuring some of our giants, we are now really looking forward to the official weigh-off. Our biggest one is already more than 800kg and still growing.

New Year’s reception 2019
2019 has started and so the all growers were invited for the yearly New Year’s reception on Saturday January 26th. Plans about how to grow the biggest pumpkins this year where discussed while having a beer.
2nd patch tour & BBQ 2018
At the last Saturday of August, we went to some of the big pumpkin growers to estimate the weight of their pumpkins. The heaviest pumpkin on Saturday August 25th measured, had a weight of 850kg. Let’s go for 1000kg or more! The day ended, like always, with a nice BBQ.
2nd patch tour & BBQ 2016
On Saturday August 27th we drove around by bike for the 2nd patch tour of 2016. We really have some nice big pumpkins this year, so hopefully heavy enough for the Belgian Championship and maybe even for the European championship. We’ll know within 2 months.
